The Mind and the Moon

The mind creates by the light of the Moon;
those enchanting rays can stir a heart, uplift a sea,
or transform a world.

Upon that sliver of a moonbeam,
a musical note can find lost inspiration,
a mind might become helplessly
captivated,
a heart broken open with
joy or grief, or a seeker awakened
to that most discreet of spaces
within,
from where a dream is born or even where
it regretfully
collapses.

Not all things must be seen with the outer eyes,
what of truths that are heard and felt and imagined, in ways that are quieter, not always proclaiming, but reflective of what lies in mystery,
hidden within the codes of time.

As I claim my yearning for such a space, unburdened from the noises of a restless world,
the hint of a song emerges,
the faint memory of a rhythm is heard,
and a wisdom
remembered once more.
