The transit of Rahu (the North Node of the Moon) through the zodiac sign of Pisces is an important astrological event that continues throughout 2024.
The effects of this planetary transit for the individual will depend a great deal upon where it occurs in the birth chart.
The sign of Pisces is generally associated with the waters of the ocean, and signifies spaces where we tune in to the more inspirational side of life. Where dreams, imagination and creativity reside in great measure.
The Piscean seas also teach us about the inevitability of dissolution in order for new growth to take place. When Rahu enters the sign of Pisces, it drives us towards exploring our creative potential, as well as working with more enthusiasm towards a goal or a dream that we would like to manifest in this life.
During this transit, we might feel motivated to follow a different path, or undertake a long journey for career success or even for self-discovery.
There is a tendency to revisit our ideological belief systems. On a collective level, in our societies, religious or spiritual activities will become more visible.
A good use of this time is to deepen our connect with our roots, and yet keep the door open for evolutionary thought and growth. If you are feeling inclined to go deeper in to a philosophy, or to study a new approach, this is a great time to get to ‘know’ the ‘unknown’.
It is perhaps one of the most powerful times for innovation and creating ideas that are unconventional. If there is a stream of work that you would like to uplift, with new ideas or approaches, this transit will assist you, especially when you make use of cultural or creative themes.
Rahu has begun a new 18-year journey around the zodiac, and this is a time to review the thought patterns and societal messaging that we have internalised over the past years.
I’d like to add as well that if you happen to experience the passing of a loved one during this time, give yourself adequate time and space to process this within. The nature of this planetary transit is to bring us to contemplation on the deeper significance of this inevitable cycle of creation and dissolution.
Astrologically, invocations of the Divine Feminine are powerful ways to counter the negative effects of ‘Rahu‘ – the north node of the moon – and to align with its higher, more creative energies instead. There are certain Mantra Chants that have the quality of an ‘Armor‘. By repeating them or listening to them at regular intervals, they surround our space – inner and outer – with a protective energy. Such stotrams or collections of verses are known as ‘Kavacham‘ in Sanskrit, which literally translates as ‘Armor’.
Sharing below my rendition of the Devi Kavacham verses.
