The Solar eclipse on March 29, 2025 will occur in the Nakshatra (lunar constellation) of “Uttara Bhadra Pada“.

The shakti (power) of this constellation is “varshodyamana“, which means to ‘bring rain’, and to strenghten or realign the foundation upon which we live. The oceans rise as vapour to return their water to the earth in a way that nurtures all forms of life. For this reason, events related to this Nakshatra are invariably related to the waters of our planet, to forces beneath the ground, and at a deeper level, to the stirring of emotional energy that brings to the surface what has so far been hidden from view. What has been cultivated under the surface for a long time is now seen more clearly, so that we may grow and transform due to its upheaval.

It is interesting to note that Uttara Bhadra Pada is the constellation within which Sri Lakshmi, Goddess of prosperity and abundance, appears to the world, after the ‘churning of the ocean’. This eclipse not only occurs in her sign, but also at the start of the nine nights of the Divine Mother, the spring Chaitra Navaratri, when she is worshiped along with other forms of the Goddess.

We are being given the chance and choice to re-examine our relationship with prosperity, abundance and what we place true value upon in this life. On a larger, collective level, this indicates fundamental changes in the world, but on an individual level, it can be a powerful time of insight, depending upon where this occurs in the birth horoscope. Embrace this process of change as it unfolds, with grace and faith.
